Quit Smoking Today

"It was my 20th birthday, with my roommates at my hostel I was having ball of a time. Suddenly, John took out a cigarette from his pocket, put it in his mouth & started lighting it. The first puff, which he took in a very stylish manner, urged me to try it myself.

Twenty years later, today, I regret that first puff & the one's that followed one after the other. At first, it was just an in-style thing, then slowly it became a habit & now I can't live without it, nor can I live with it. I am suffering from a disease that has been awarded to me for my contribution in smoking- LUNG CANCER."

This is just one of the cases, there are thousands of others out there, wanting to quit smoking, but now its too late for them.....

You cannot travel back in time to correct the mistakes done in past. So act now, QUIT SMOKING.

Smoking kills more than 1,500,000 people every year. These not only include the poor, but also the wealthy, not only middle-aged but also youngsters.

Yet another & most harmful effect of smoking is smoking in public. Smoking in public not only affects the one who is smoking, but also those around him.

Smoking is a waste of money, time & your health. People waste thousands of dollars on cigarettes each year. If collected, this money can be used for some good cause or may be in times of need.

Some people smoke for the fun part of it, some because now they have become addicted & some because they feel that it is a stress-buster. But they all forget that they are ruining their health. Smoking does no good than bad. SMOKING KILLS. It acts like slow poison, which in turn takes its toll.

It is rightly said ‘Ignorance is harmful.’ People tend to ignore the warning printed on the cigarette boxes that says ‘ SMOKING IS INJURIOUS TO HEALTH.’ They realize it when nothing can be done. The early you realize it the more you increase your chances to live a couple of more years. It is said that a cigarette reduces your life by 3 minutes. Why to reduce something which itself is very short. Live life to its fullest, act wisely. STOP SMOKING.
